Today, I was so exhilarated because I had my first horseback riding class since 2024! All week, I was counting days, hours, minutes, and seconds until my class, wishing for the days to go by faster. When I went there, my old horse, Cinnamon, had been sold, so there was a new horse named Rosie. I rode her for my class, and I was so lucky to be her first rider in an actual class. We clicked immediately, and she was so calm with me. It was as if we had known each other for years!
First, my horse riding trainer, Heidi, is amazing. If you ever want to learn horseback riding there, I highly recommend her. She is just SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!
Next, let me tell you about Rosie. Rosie is an auburn horse who is 8 years old and a complete foodie! I realized that when she devoured the apple I gave her immediately. She is very friendly (well… to me. I don’t know if she’ll bite anyone else!).
There was also a dog named Annie, who is half Chihuahua and half Dachshund. I tried to pet her, but she tried to bite me. Maybe next time she will be friendlier. There was also a black dog named Bella, Oreo the pig that I named during my last class in 2024, new goats, and a new foal. The ranch also has an abundance of white horses and a lot of hornets.
Overall, it was an amazing first class, and I’m already excited for my next ride with Rosie.
