Winter is the season of snow and is very cold. But is there more to the brutal cold? In my opinion, winter is a snowy delight. My reason is that winter brings unique sports that are equipped for everyone.

To begin with, winter brings exceptional sports that can only be played during this time of the year. Some sports like curling, figure skating, ice hockey, sledding, snowboarding, and skiing can only be played when there is snow or ice, so winter is the perfect season to play these sports. An example from “Weather and Climate” states that “many people like winter.” This is because winter sports give people joy. There is one for everyone.

In addition to that, the Winter Olympics are held every four years. They have a variety of sports, which include biathlon, bobsleigh (skeleton and bobsleigh), curling, ice hockey, luge, skating (figure skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating), ski mountaineering, and skiing (alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding). We don’t have to be in the Winter Olympics just to play these sports. We can play them even with modified rules. That’s the best part about winter. We get to play the games our way, and we can pick which one to play since there are a plethora of games.

To summarize, winter is a snowy delight rather than a frosty menace because it brings unique sports that are equipped for everyone. This is why winter is a wonderful season that brings smiles even on frowns.
