Today is World Octopus Day, so I thought to share this story with you!
Sarah walked into the classroom. The fresh scent of erasers and pencil shavings filled the classroom. Suddenly, she noticed a small, faint smell of slime. “It’s probably the boys making slime again,” she told herself. Soon, everyone was seated, waiting for the teacher.
Thwap! The sound of suctions now filled the air. Sarah leaned closer to listen. Then, it abruptly stopped, just as quickly as it came. Sarah sighed and relaxedly leaned back in her chair.
However, Thwap! The same sound was born to the listeners again.
Moments later, Sarah and her classmates saw a sixty-meter-tall shadow dawn on them. They slowly ran to a corner without making a sound. Then, the figure appeared.
The girls and boys tried to stifle a laugh as they saw what the figure was. It was a tiny purple octopus crawling into the classroom.
“Hello, kids! I will be your substitute for today!” it said. “I am Ms. Calamari. Now I will take attendance! Of course, I am only a kid too!”
